Recent Improvements 2009 has seen several garden improvements with the planting of 35 trees within Makuti's afromontane forest and along the new border fence. More garden lighting has been put in and pathways have been altered to provide easier walking . More security has been implemented with full exterior fencing and a main gate, plus several cottages now have their own individual fence. This has made the cottages more private. All doors and windows have security bars and trelli-doors and all cottage alarms have been checked and serviced. Loft cottage has been extended with a new, separate fully equipped kitchen. Leading off Loft's kitchen is Ebony Room, a new en-suite B& B room which can also be Loft's 2nd bedroom. The garden around Loft cottage has been enlarged with several new private areas. Maple cottage's West patio garden has been cleared for lovely garden views and easy access to the large Lodge South patio, which Maple cottage guests are welcome to use. Future plans/ improvements. Oregon cottage's patio will be extended to allow for an 8 seater patio table and possibly a downstairs shower room will be added onto Oregon's 3rd bedroom.
